Michael Phelps was at a party.  He took a bong hit.  The photo was published.  Kellogg's dropped him as a "star" presence and cancelled his endorsement contract.

Kellogg's is all wet.

HERE is where you can tell them so.
TRUTH IN TRIALS
Were you aware that if you were in Federal Court facing charges for cannabis possession that you could NOT tell the jury that you are a Medical Marijuana patient as part of your defense?

It's time to change that!

A bill has been introduced in the House of Representatives that would allow us to tell Federal juries that we are registered patients.  No Oregon Members of Congress have signed on to co-sponsor this bill yet.  Please let our representatives know that the people who vote for them would like to see this bill passed.

An email has been created to make the process more accessible.  Click on the link below to make your voice heard!

A group calling itself The Colorado Drug Investigators Association has been actively campaigning against Medical Marijuana in Colorado.  This law enforcement related organization has received backing from a number of corporate sponsors, including Starbucks

Boycott them, and let them know that their support of anti-Medical Marijuana efforts are NOT the cream in your coffee!

SEND your opinions to Starbucks.

Thanks to Saferchoice.org for the info and action page.
UPDATE 1-22-10
Starbucks issues a response

"This organization is apparently targeting us because a local law enforcement organization in Colorado posted our logo on their website. Starbucks has not taken a position on their issue," the statement said. "We have a tremendous amount of respect for the men and women of local law enforcement. However, we have not sponsored this particular organization through our foundation. It is up to the discretion of our local teams to support those groups that are relevant in their neighborhoods. Our stores often support organizations in their community by donating coffee for their events."
Support Safe Access to Medicine

Ballot initative I-28 would allow for the establishment of legal dispensaries to distribute Medical Cannabis to OMMP Registry Cardholders.

Patients using medical cannabis are currently at risk of not being able to get their medicine in a timely and safe manner.  Sick people should not be forced to seek relief on the streets, making deals in back alleys.

Oregon voters could vote on dispensaries and legalization...

THIS YEAR!
Two ballot initiatives are being circulated right now that would mean huge changes for the Oregon cannabis industry and community.

What is a ballot initiative?  It is governmental decision-making at the most fundamental level.  If enough people want a particular law, and gather enough signatures on petitions, that new law will be on the ballot that year.  The voters of the state can then decide if the new law should be enacted or not when they vote in November's General Election.

Oregon registered voters are being asked to consider 2 petitions right now.  I-28, which would allow for dispensaries, and I-73, which would allow for cannabis to be legalized, regulated and sold through a system of state stores.

If you would like to see either or both of these laws enacted here, please use the links below to navigate to webpages where you can request/download a signature form.  Once you have the form printed, fill it out, and mail it in as directed.  Make copies for your friends and family to sign and encourage them to have their friends sign as well.  Sharing is caring!

It is THAT easy to ensure safe access to medicine for patients and an end to the criminality associated with cannabis use.

For the I-28 (Dispensary) signature page, click >>HERE<<

For the I-73 (Legalization) pledge page, click >>HERE<<

Please sign and mail these forms. And send these links to your friends and family. Oregon cannabis needs every single vote!
Unlike other states, the Oregon proposal would be regulated and monitored.  Don't let the hysterical media reports of chaos in other states deter you from making the compassionate decision.  Sign the petition to get I-28 on next year's ballot. Contact us for more details!

If you would like to sign a petition, you must be a registered Oregon Voter.  To register, Click >>HERE<<

For more information on I-28, come into our center.  We will be happy to provide you with a copy, and discuss the importance of this issue with you.

We are looking for volunteers to take the petition to the streets.  We have submitted over 110,000 signatures, of which 82,679 must be certified as valid.  Those responsible for I-28 have estimated that we need another 10,000 signatures to be sure of having enough valid signatures to make it on the November ballot.

If you want to carry the petition, please stop in and ask for copies to circulate.  CANNABIS NEEDS YOU!!!
